As your photos illustrate, it is a very different world than the streets of New York, Chicago, LA, DC, or other metropolitan areas. The lifestyle is very different as well. The cities depend on the farms for survival yet the elites (politicians, journalists, executives, academics) who govern the cities often disparage the farmers, truckers, and other workers in the heartland without whom they cannot eat. Despite the intellectual "superiority" of the urban ruling class they spend no time trying to understand the needs and concerns of those they consider to be undereducated unintelligent rubes.
At competitive Ivy League and Ivy League other prestige schools students vie for internships at Wall Street investment firms, big corporations, large foundations, Congress, law firms,…
