Belleville, Kansas

November 2, 2022

Since these structures seem to be the state flower of Kansas, I thought it would be useful to learn about them.

I couldn't find much on the safety issues -- although the third video here shows a fire/explosion involving grain dust.

You know what stuns me? The Coastal Elites look down on these folks like they are uneducated rubes, like they don't know their butt from a whole in the ground. Yet not one of the Coastal Elites or Career Politicians could do what they do every day to feed all of us!

And, I hope you remember my comment from a week ago -- the people of Kansas are the most unassuming people I've ever met!

Some may look down but I think most people don’t have a reference point for understanding the agricultural life. Same for the oil patch workers. Urban dwellers — we get caught up in the busyness of city life and have little time to reflect on others’ lives. When I was in Liberal, Kansas, town of maybe 15,000 I was shocked that 3,500 of those folks work in “meat packing” which I gather is a nice why of saying what they do. A job I could never do. And they probably get paid $10/hour. Thankless. Yet city folks are all about their six (seven) figure salaries for doing what?
