A few months ago, I decided to turn on iCloud storage for my photos. Previously, my primary storage for my photos was on my MacBook Pro. The problem became that my 150,000 photos and videos were filling up my 1 TB hard drive. By beginning to use iCloud as my primary storage, I freed up space on my hard drive as now I have somewhat lower quality images on my MacBook; iCloud holds the full-size images.

Not sure I am explaining this as well as I wish!

The net result is that instead of having a subset of the 159,000 images on my phone, now my phone contains 150,000 images. Turns out, it seems, that my blog app doesn’t deal well with that large a universe of photos. When I write a blog post on my phone and try to import photos, the app just hangs up. Obviously what I should do is communicate with Wix (the maker of my blog app) and see if there is a solution to my problem.

Interestingly, I don’t have the same issue when I use my MacBook to write a post. My intuition tells me that is because my computer has more computing power. But the reality is that I have no idea why!
