  1. Use eye contact — gaze just a beat longer, make the other person feel like you are making a connection.

  2. Smile and show genuine enthusiasm and interest when meeting someone

  3. Posture — walk into the room like you belong. Look abead, head high and shoulders back. Send the message of confidence.

  4. Name echo — when you meet someone use their name three times. We tend to not remember names when introduced because our minds are so consumed/distracted by our own internal chatter of wondering what the other person thinks of us and what will we say next. Relax and remember. Make the other person feel seen.

  5. Micro pause — don’t rush!

  6. Show genuine curiousity about the other person. Ask followup questions and don’t talk about yourself.
