Tom’s Fish & Chips Seaside, Oregon

July 21, 2021

Played this course this afternoon with Kyle, a twenty something OSU graduate who is a lifelong resident of Seaside. His family owns the very popular candy store in Cannon Beach, Bruce’s Candy — www.brucescsndy.com. As Lucian says, you almost always meet someone interesting on the course when you are playing as a single. Kyle informed me that Neil Everett, the Sportscenter anchor has an house by the second green on this course.

Longer course than the recent ones I have played. Like all courses I have played in Oregon, the greens were in great condition. I finally birdied a hole (number nine); I lost track of my score but I think I ended up +2. Again.

The big news in Seaside the past two days is that there was a fire at the golf course yesterday. Maintenance equipment, a truck and 500 gallons of fuel burned. The fuel created mean looking black smoke.

Here are my photos from the round:

Welcome to my webpage.  I'm on a journey across the USA to visit all 22 Paris' - and points in between.  I'll be sharing thoughts, photos and videos along the way - as I search for answers to questions that bother me so.
