When I left the Love's Truck Stop in Las Cruces, New Mexico my goal was to get to Valentine, Texas before 2 pm when the post office there closes. Google Maps told me 3 hours snd 15 minutes so I allowed 4 hours. Unfortunately, I needed to allow one more as I crossed into the Central Time Zone.
Bummer.
It did allow me time to stop in Van Horn and have a delicious lunch at the Broadway Cafe in Van Horn.
