Paris is a pretty town with a number of beautiful older buildings downtown. It is one of those places -- like many in the South -- that shows signs of wealth as well as signs of poverty.
The area around Paris, and between Paris and Lexington along US 68, is not so diverse -- it shows signs of wealth in terms of horse farms. I have made this drive several times and it stands out as one of the prettiest drives I have made on my wanderabout. How much must it cost to run one of these horse farms is the thought that I always have.
Both the stone and wood fences are beautiful.
